Katie and Tom were absolute super troopers for their winter engagement session in Cleveland, Ohio. Seriously, couples who brave the snow and cold for epic photos deserve a special award, and these two were no exception!
When planning their engagement session, Katie and Tom knew they wanted a wintery session to compliment the December wedding they are having later this year. She was really hoping for snow, and in true Ohio fashion, there was no snow the entire week leading up to their session. But miraculously we found a little patch in a shaded area that hadn’t seen much sun since the last snow!
Before braving the cold though, we started their engagement session in Downtown Cleveland at the Old Arcade. If you have never seen it, you are missing out because the architecture and glass ceiling are out of this world! These two were naturals at posing and loving on each other right from the start. Which is great, because the Old Arcade was bustling!
We didn’t linger long at the Old Arcade though, as they were setting up for a beautiful wedding and we certainly didn’t want to interrupt the couple’s big day! So when the wedding party arrived we headed to our next destination over at the Rocky River Reservation. Bonus, Katie and Tom stopped to pick up their sweet doggy on the way to the park! It may have been cold but these two definitely didn’t let it show! I am so glad that bumble brought them together and they get to spend the rest of their lives with one another. They really couldn’t be more perfect. From their proposal, to their engagement session to their wedding, they are living a winter wonderland dream!
Tom even proposed to Katie with a ring hidden in their Christmas tree! Katie had been gone on a trip with her mom. Tom picked her up from the airport and brought her home to flowers and a card on the table. She thought it was because he really missed her. The card included a note at the end saying “PS there’s a new ornament on the tree!” She looked all over the tree but all of the ornaments looked the same as when she had left. When she looked a little harder, she saw a jewelry box with a ribbon on the top of the tree. The last thing she expected to be inside the box was a ring! He got down on one knee and of course she said “yes!”.
See, I told you it was a dream! I am so excited to celebrate their love with them later this year. You can tell that these two are perfect for each other and so so much fun. I have no doubt that their wedding will be perfectly them.
