I couldn’t have possibly dreamed up a more perfect day with more perfect weather for Mike and Kristen’s farm elopement in Seville. I remember getting her inquiry for my availability and thinking “BRRRRRRR” but this day was anything but. Plus, I love snow so how could I say no? So, in front of a quaint little fire place surrounded by family I got to watch these two wonderful people tie the knot.
Pulling into the long driveway of the address Kristen provided me, I just knew this was going to be an amazing experience. A beautiful brick home to my right set a ways off the road and a horse pasture to my left, I was in heaven. I was greeted at my car by the adorable farm dog! When I entered the home I finally got to meet Kristen for the first time after exchanging emails for the last month. She was absolutely glowing. Her simple glittery dress paired perfectly with black leggings and boots was stunning. We chatted for a few moments and I got right to unpacking and getting ready.
I spent the first bit of my time with them capturing all of the little details. From their initials on the mantle of the fireplace to the beautiful cake and serving tray that featured their names and EST 2019. It all tied together so perfectly. When I laid eyes on Kristen’s bouquet, I was head over heels in love. Berry’s Blooms had done an absolutely phenomenal job creating the flawless arrangement of reds, whites and sprigs of pine.
This elopement was so laid back. Everyone chatted and laughed, sharing stories and reminiscing while they waited. When Kristen’s brother in law and his family arrived to officiate the ceremony we were ready to begin. In front of this beautiful fireplace in the most intimate setting I heard one of the best ceremonies I’ve heard to date. It was filled with pokes and prods at both the bride and groom that got tons of laughter from everyone, myself included. While it certainly was funny it was also tasteful, elegant and had the perfect touch of class. It was short and truly sweet.
Following the ceremony we had a few informal formals and then Mike, Kristen and I were off. We explored the farm property where the owners make maple syrup. We utilized the fence of the pasture, one of the farm tractors and even the wood pile! The sun provided the dreamiest light and left us with an amazing sunset. We worked through pictures taking a quick break to warm back up in between before we headed back in to rejoin the family.
After their ceremony was a planned party for Mike’s birthday, where all of the guests arriving had no idea these two had just tied the knot! It was fun to hear them being congratulated and watching them be met with warm embraces. It truly was the most wonderful experience.
Here are just a few of my favorites from Mike and Kristen’s Farm Elopement:
