Kali and Matt | Cuyahoga Valley National Park Engagement Session

cuyahoga valley national park engagement session

Kali and Matt had the most absolutely perfect fall day for their Engagement Session at Cuyahoga Valley National Park! Much like me, Kali’s favorite season is fall. She loves the crisp air and colorful leaves! I mean, can you blame her? It is beautiful! The first time we talked about her engagement session, she knew right away that it had to be fall. With Ohio, the changing of the leaves can be so unpredictable, but as luck would have it, she got the best week of them all!

These two met four years ago when Kali’s young aunt dated one of Matt’s best friends. She had told Kali that she had to meet Matt. She was skeptical at first, but I am so glad she took the chance! They had their first date at Burntwood Tavern, and got to re-visit the restaurant after their engagement session (which happened to be their anniversary!).

He planned the perfect proposal!

Their first date went so well, they went on many more! For Matt’s birthday this year, they had made plans to have dinner at M Italian, near where Kali is originally from. When their table “wasn’t ready”, they decided to take a walk to the nearby waterfall. After snapping a quick picture together, Kali began to head back towards the restaurant. It took her a few moments to realize Matt was not beside her. When she turned around to look for him, he was down on one knee waiting to ask her to marry him! She obviously said yes! They never made it back to the restaurant as Matt had arranged a celebratory dinner with their parents back at his house! He even surprised her by arranging for her best friend who was living in Utah to join them at his house!

These two are so sweet and perfect for one another. They sure know how to make one another laugh! There were very few moments during their session where they weren’t laughing through the photos. Kali and Matt were beaming with happiness the entire time. I can only imagine how much fun we are going to have on their wedding day next October at the amazing White Rose Barn! I can hardly wait. Kali is going to be such a beautiful bride (Matt, you’ll be a handsome groom too… don’t worry!).
