Rain and chilly weather didn’t stop Joy and Matt from a gorgeous Cleveland Cultural Gardens engagement session. Leave it to Ohio and drop drastically in temperature the week Fall officially started. But I love that it gave Joy and Matt an excuse to snuggle in even closer, and thats exactly what they did!
Joy and Matt met on a blind double date in college at The University of Toledo. The began the night talking to each other and never stopped. They spent the evening having dinner at Olive Garden and playing putt putt.
In June of this they were hiking in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They found an overlook with a waterfall below. Matt thought it was the perfect (and safest place) to propose. Joy being the adventurous one, decided she wanted climb down to see the waterfall. Matt became nervous, worried that he would drop the ring while making the climb down. He made it down, ring still in tact and found a flat spot in the rocks to pop the question. Joy of course said yes!
These two share a sweet love with each other, and I am so glad we were able to capture that side of their relationship at their engagement session. We even got two surprise guests nestled in the gardens in the form of two young deer. We seriously couldn’t believe our eyes. It was so magical.
