On Saturday September 5, 2020 Rajeana and Ronnie tied the knot in LaGrange, Ohio! It wasn’t the wedding they had originally planned, thanks to Covid-19, but they sure made the best of it! They had to cut back on the number of guests, and move their reception to their back yard, but it was intimate and perfect in every way!
The morning of the wedding, Rajeana got ready at her Aunt’s house, not far from their family’s property where the ceremony would take place. I arrived to a perfectly calm bride, sipping mimosas and enjoying her girls. I got right to work capturing all of the little details of their sunflower and sage green wedding. Let’s not forget her gorgeous strapless gown from David’s Bridal. She had incorporated so many small elements of family members who had passed, including a charm for her mom. It was the sweetest!
Rajeana opted for two first looks on her wedding day! She had an emotional first look with her father, Paul. It brought her bridesmaids, and even me to tears! We followed it with a first look with her groom, who was so glad that he could see her before hand to calm his nerves! It was the perfect way to get the rest of the day moving!
We moved right in to bridal party photos and family photos. You could hear the excitement in the chatter of the friends and family waiting for photos. Everyone was so happy to be there celebrating a wonderful day with an amazing couple. After breezing through photos, it was time to get these two to their ceremony and married!
A short but sweet ceremony!
Their intimate ceremony took place on her Aunt and Uncle’s property in LaGrange, Ohio. The aisle lined with sunflower poms and white pumpkins took place next to the beautiful blue pond! The weather and the ceremony were perfect! The most precious moment was when Rajeana read vows she had written for Ronnie’s two sons.
Their short but sweet ceremony was immediately followed by their first dance as husband and wife and the traditional father-daughter and mother-son dance. While its not the traditional order of the wedding day, I think it was just right for them and the flow of their day!
After family formals we took photos at several spots on the property. The blue pond and long driveway were a dream! From day one, Rajeana knew she had to have photos at a special place on her wedding day. So, we stopped at Alco, where she and Ronnie met. I know she will cherish those FOREVER!
After we finished their photos at Alco, we headed back to their house for a small backyard reception! The night was filled with spike ball, yummy food and sentimental toasts to the newlyweds! Rajeana was so thankful that at the end of the night, she was already home where she could crawl into her bed for a good nights rest before packing and heading to Hocking Hills the next morning.
I am so thankful that Rajeana and I’s paths crossed many years ago, growing up and attending the same school. I was so honored when she asked me to be such an important part of her once in a lifetime day. Its one I will never forget, as I know they won’t either.
