My heart definitely beats a little stronger for this colorful Cleveland Museum of Art Engagement session with Emily and Bryan. I send all of my couples a style guide to help them plan the perfect engagement outfits, typically suggesting a solid color for one and a pattern for the other. What I never expected was this stunner of a dress that Emily had chosen for their session. Obsessed is an understatement.
These two cuties met through a mutual friend that Emily worked with. They both attended some trivia nights with their friends but it took a while for them to actually connect. After finally exchanging numbers they decided to grab some Chipotle and talked the evening away. Most of the early part of their relationship was spent in quarantine. They spend one of their favorite evenings cooking Mexican food and making homemade margs! Sounds like the perfect night to me.
After just a year of dating Bryan knew Emily was the one. So on their anniversary, he decided it was time to pop the question. He thought she suspected it coming so he bought her a pair of sunglasses in hopes that she would love them but be a little sad it wasn’t a ring. When he gave her the sunglasses, Emily was overjoyed, not quite what he was expecting. Shocked by her response he began to panic, and got down on one knee, telling her he had one more surprise. She was STUNNED. It took her a moment to respond out of shock, but she finally said yes and they both shared tears of joy!!!!
Getting to know these two during their session and seeing the love they share for one another was the sweetest. I was sure to tell them that when in doubt, just love one another and be themselves, and they sure did! The joy and heart-warming glances came naturally for them, and they have some seriously gorgeous images to prove it!
We had originally planned their session for the Cultural Gardens, but had to think quick on our feet when we arrived to find a street festival and all of the roads closed. Clearly fate knew these two were meant a Cleveland Museum of Art Engagement Session. We even got to end their session at one of their favorite breweries, drinking beers named after Schitt’s Creek. It was a perfect evening, and has me already counting down the days until their August 2022 wedding.
Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from Emily and Bryan’s Colorful Cleveland Museum of Art Engagement Session!
