Led by a professional photographer (me!), I gently pose each guest or couple so they look and feel like the best and most honest version of themselves. I thoughtfully compose each portrait with the same care I bring to my wedding-day coverage. I use a neutral backdrop and soft, flattering light to create images that are timeless but never stiff—editorial, but never disconnected. Long before I launched The Portrait Parlour, my husband Kyle used to talk about building me a photography studio on our property—he called it my “picture parlor.” It was his dream for me before I ever imagined it for myself. When I began dreaming up an elevated guest portrait experience, I knew it had to be named in honor of that little dream.
