Normally my style is sweet and romantic, but I ventured outside the box for Brittany and Mike’s Sunset Engagement Session at Huntington Beach and it was FIRE!!!! Something about Brittany from the moment we first chatted told me it would be okay to text her “How adventurous are you feeling?” just hours before her session. I had visions of portraits IN THE LAKE. Thank goodness she trusted me because I have no regrets about asking them to step outside of what I normally do to create something epic for these two.
While I have only known these two a short time, I can tell you that this wedding is long over due! But that seems like the norm for Brittany and Mike. Seriously, they didn’t go on their first actual “date” until ten years after they met (and were already in a relationship, crazy right?). They have two beautiful babies and just bought their first house, so I don’t know why Mike waited so long to wife Brittany up but I am so glad he did.
Their personalities remind me so much of my husband and I. They love laid back nights at home and spending time together. It’s seriously adorable. In just a month and a half they will be walking down the aisle to become husband and wife and ya’ll I am here for it and packing plenty of tissues to wipe my own tears!
They are going to have epic photos, I can already tell. I might even talk Brittany into getting in the fountain at their venue, kidding…. kind of. Until their August wedding, enjoy some of my favorite images from their Sunset Engagement Session at Huntington Beach.
